Principal Growth Product Manager (Contract)
Location: San Jose, CA 95110 or San Francisco, CA 94107 (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months
Team: Express Education PM
The Opportunity Adobe Express is a core entry point for students discovering creativity, communication, and productivity with Adobe. We’re looking for a Principal Product Growth Manager to lead end-to-end growth for student experiences in Adobe Express on a 6‑month contract basis.
This role is about uncovering and scaling product‑led growth loops within Adobe Express—driven by sharing, collaboration, templates, AI‑assisted creation, and classroom workflows. You will deeply understand student needs and behaviors and translate those insights into product strategies and experiments that drive measurable impact within a defined time horizon.
Key Responsibilities
Own the student growth strategy for Adobe Express end-to-end across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and advocacy during the contract period.
Identify, design, and ship high‑impact growth loops directly within Adobe Express (e.g., sharing, collaboration, templates, AI‑powered creation, classroom workflows).
Map and optimize the student journey across discovery, onboarding, learning moments, and repeat usage—reducing time‑to‑value and friction.
Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science, Research, and Marketing to translate insights into shipped experiences quickly.
Lead rapid experimentation, defining hypotheses, success metrics, and clear learnings to inform near‑ and long‑term product decisions.
Use qualitative and quantitative insights (funnels, cohorts, retention curves, research) to prioritize opportunities and influence roadmap tradeoffs.
Operate at principal scope, influencing direction across teams while remaining hands‑on with execution.
Advocate for student needs across Adobe Express and related initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8–12+ years of experience in product management, growth, or product‑led growth, ideally in SaaS, consumer software, or developer/creator platforms.
Proven track record of driving measurable growth through product changes, not just campaigns or surface‑level optimizations.
Deep understanding of growth loops, funnels, experimentation, and lifecycle metrics (activation, retention, engagement, monetization).
Experience working across multiple products or platforms, influencing without direct authority.
Strong analytical skills paired with excellent product intuition—you know when to trust the data and when to dig deeper.
Comfort operating at principal level: ambiguous problems, wide scope, high impact, and executive‑level communication.
Passion for students, education, and creative/productive workflows, with empathy for how students actually work under real constraints.
Preferred Skills
Experience with education, student, or freemium products.
Familiarity with collaboration, sharing, or network‑effect‑driven products.
Experience partnering with AI‑driven features to unlock new user value.
Compensation $84.51 per hour.
