Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Contest Strategist / Copywriter to be the wordsmith behind our customers' digital experiences. This role owns the voice of our customer across the website, mobile app, and promotional campaigns — from the words on a button to the copy behind a nationwide giveaway.

You’ll be responsible for crafting short‑form, high‑impact copy that feels unmistakably on brand with our customer: fun, cheeky, confident, and customer‑first.

If you obsess over “what does this button say?” and believe the right words can drive clicks, smiles, and cravings — this role is for you.

What You’ll Do Digital Copy & Microcopy : Write and refine microcopy across the Whataburger website and mobile applications (buttons, CTAs, tooltips, error messages, confirmations). Decide exactly how something should be said — not just what is being said. Ensure consistency of tone and language across all digital touchpoints.

Promotions & Campaign Messaging : Develop promotional copy for application and web experiences, including limited‑time offers and contests. Craft messaging for campaigns such as: “We’re giving out a FREE Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit — what does that sound like in true Whataburger language?” Translate promotional concepts into clear, exciting, on‑brand copy customers instantly understand.

Mail & App Messaging : Write promotional emails, push notifications, and in‑app messages. Balance clarity, excitement, and brevity — especially in mobile‑first formats. Test and refine language to improve engagement and conversions.

Brand Voice Stewardship : Act as a guardian of the Whataburger voice — fun, cheeky, warm, and unmistakable. Help standardize language across web, app, and campaigns so customers experience one cohesive brand. Create and maintain copy guidelines, examples, and best practices.

Collaboration : Partner closely with Product, Marketing, UX/UI, and Engineering teams. Translate product and marketing goals into customer‑friendly language. Provide copy support throughout the design and development process.
