
Senior Purchasing Agent

Bell & Associates is working with a local homebuilder seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing Agent to support our construction and purchasing operations. This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, securing competitive bids, maintaining accurate pricing and contracts, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Solicit and analyze competitive bids from vendors and trade partners
Negotiate pricing agreements and maintain accurate contracts and purchase orders
Support new community and plan setup, including options and specifications
Maintain current cost data and vendor information
Collaborate with construction, sales, and field teams to coordinate changes and updates
Assist in recruiting and onboarding new vendors
Ensure all documentation and systems are accurate and up to date
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of residential homebuilding purchasing or operations experience
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Experience with construction estimating or purchasing software preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
