Full-time | France | Sales – Energy Storage Systems (ESS)
Position Summary The Sales Manager Energy Storage Solutions is responsible for driving localized business development and market expansion for battery energy storage solutions in France. The role owns the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract closure and payment, while building long-term customer relationships and a regional sales network. This position is an individual contributor role with strong commercial ownership, close collaboration with PV Sales, and a hands‑on execution focus.
Reporting Line Reports to the Country Sales Manager.
Major Responsibilities
Drive localized market development and business expansion for ESS solutions in France
Own the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract negotiation, signature, and payment collection
Develop and manage relationships with key customers, including developers, EPCs, IPPs, utilities, and industrial customers
Collaborate closely with PV Sales teams to maintain customer relationships, expand sales channels, and enable cross‑selling of integrated PV + ESS solutions
Identify upsell opportunities such as system expansion, EMS upgrades, and additional services
Build and maintain a strong regional sales network and pipeline to achieve annual sales targets
Support localized brand promotion by attending regional trade shows, industry exhibitions, and forums
Organize customer factory visits, technical seminars, and solution presentations in coordination with Technical and HQ teams
Monitor market developments, policies, and subsidy schemes related to energy storage in France
Coordinate with HQ and overseas teams on product promotion, technical alignment, and strategic initiatives
Your profile Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or a related field (technical background preferred)
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sales of ESS, PCS, EMS, or related energy storage solutions
Proven experience managing ESS projects independently across the full project lifecycle
Strong understanding of ESS architecture (battery cells, BMS, PCS, EMS) and ability to interpret technical specifications
Solid knowledge of international trade practices, including INCOTERMS 2020, L/Cs, performance bonds, and export credit insurance
English & French: C1 (professional working proficiency)
Skills & Competencies
Strong commercial and negotiation skills with hands‑on deal‑closing capability
Ability to independently manage opportunities from lead generation to payment collection
High level of execution focus; comfortable working in fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environments
Strong stakeholder management skills, including access to senior decision‑makers and C‑level contacts
Ability to quickly understand and adapt to regulatory, subsidy, and grid‑code changes in the region
Resilience and flexibility to operate under high travel intensity and multicultural settings
Travel Requirement
Frequent travel within France
Occasional international travel as required
