
Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of the Osage View golf course at State Technical College of Missouri. This role ensures consistent optimal playing conditions of the course through an organized and service-oriented approach to outdoor groundskeeping and student life environments. This is a 12-month in-seat position.
Essential Functions
Assist in planning and executing daily golf course maintenance and landscaping.
Supervise and coordinate seasonal grounds crew members during turf management operations.
Operate and maintain irrigation systems, mowers, and other groundskeeping equipment.
Monitor turf health, apply fertilizers and pesticides as directed, and support integrated pest management practices.
Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations.
Collaborate with the Superintendent on long-term improvement projects and course aesthetics.
Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
Experience in groundskeeping, golf course maintenance, or landscaping preferred.
Strong interpersonal, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and operate maintenance equipment.
CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
Leadership and team coordination.
Grounds Maintenance and equipment operations.
Multitasking across diverse environments.
