Position Overview Riverside Technical Sales is a Manufacturer’s Rep seeking 2 motivated and technically capable sales professional to represent world-class manufacturers of automation, safety, motion control, electrical, and power products. This role combines consultative technical selling with relationship-driven account management. You will work directly with OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and end users to develop solutions that improve productivity, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a sales territory, driving growth through new business development and existing account expansion
Identify and pursue new applications in automation, motion control, electrical, safety, and power products from multiple manufacturers
Serve as a technical resource for customers, assisting with product selection, application support, and system concepts
Call on OEMs, system integrators, machine builders, maintenance, and engineering teams
Conduct on-site customer visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations
Work closely with inside sales, manufacturers, and engineering support teams to develop solutions and quotations
Identify and pursue new applications and market opportunities
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reports
Attend trade shows, training sessions, and manufacturer meetings as required
Candidates must possess a Team Oriented attitude with the ability to work within a group or independently as required. Candidates must also be able and willing to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred but not required) or equivalent industrial experience
3+ years of experience in industrial technical sales, application engineering, or automation-related roles
Strong understanding of industrial automation and electrical systems
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory
Competitive base salary plus commission structure
