Job description:

National Historical Media company Forever Studios seeks a Full-Time Customer Service Specialist to handle both in-person and e-commerce based inbound sales inquiries with our clients; who are purchasing media digitizing services, photo restoration services, and physical artwork. This role requires amazing social skills, and a genuine interest/passion for history, the arts, or nostalgic experiences. Position includes base salary plus commission opportunity after 90 days. The hours for this role are Monday - Friday 9 to 6.

This role sits at the front line of the Forever Studios media digitizing & restoration experience, providing our renowned customer care in-person, online, and everywhere in between. You’ll be working with clients who are trusting us with historically and emotionally important media, and your job is to make sure that the experience feels clear, human, responsive and well-managed from start to finish.

This is

not

a call-center role or something like working at Target (no offense Target), and it’s not a script-reading position. The role requires judgment, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to think a few steps ahead on behalf of both the client and the company. If you’re a person who generally likes people, their stories, and a few interesting interactions in your day to day this would be right up your alley.

The role offers a starting pay rate of $45,000 per year with a sales commission structure starting at 90 days. There is significant potential to grow and advance in this role, with a salary+benefits package able to be earned through exceptional work.

What Does Forever Studios Do? Forever Studios is a national provider of media preservation services that specializes in the digitizing, restoration, archiving, and reproduction of historical and artistic media. Based out of Boca Raton, Florida: we work with everyone from families digitizing home videos and restoring old photographs, to museums, historical societies, artists, and professional organizations. You could be speaking to an old woman from down the block one minute, and a representative from a major company the next.

If the work in question involves preserving or reproducing meaningful visual media (digitally or physically) we’re probably involved in it, as we are generally considered to be one of the best providers in our industry for everything from digitizing video tapes to recreating lost art pieces.

What Does the Company Need Right Now? We are looking for someone who is able to cleanly execute all of the sales and customer experience tasks that are necessary on a daily basis, and apply their personal skills to the role in a way that makes their performance uniquely notable as the company continues this growth period.

That means you must:

Provide consultation to clients who call in with sales inquiries regarding our digitizing & image restoration services, and hit them with an engaging, knowledgeable, and most importantly authentic personality.

Manage an incoming sales email inbox and ensure that all clients receive initial responses within 1 business day, while others with more complicated requests receive proper follow-up communications. Email writing skills must be top-notch.

Handle & manage the flow of live-chat messages coming from our online platforms. Providing the same level of care and expertise for chats as we do for other contact methods. You’d be surprised how many sales come from chats.

Be a friendly face for our local walk-in clients, where we have a boutique style approach. You’ll have to play tour guide for new clients, but it’s actually a lot of fun to show people around and introduce everyone on the staff.

Have the ability to guide customers through complex or emotionally sensitive projects that typically mean a great deal to them. It’s necessary to be able to build trust with a super-wide variety of different people from all over the country.

Help clients understand our services and make good decisions for their projects. They typically don’t know that much about the process or how it works, and it’s our job to explain why FS is the right choice for them, and what services are appropriate.

Track and manage active projects and sales leads in our internal systems & CRM platform. This requires a good deal of computer and software skills. Training will be provided but the baseline skills need to be there.

Act as a calm, capable point of contact when questions or issues arise for people who have ongoing projects with us and require support.

Beyond the basic job functions, you’ll generally work with our production, and project management teams to ensure nothing falls through the cracks as well.

What Does the Day-to-Day Actually Look Like? All Customer Experience Specialists work

in-person

at our Boca Raton headquarters, which includes a walk-in reception area where we regularly meet with local clients.

Your day will typically involve:

reviewing new inbound communications

assisting clients with active projects

answering service and pricing questions

managing project notes and updates in our systems

helping in-person visitors and occasionally giving tours of the facility

While none of this is particularly complicated on paper, execution must be consistently excellent. Our clients are often emotionally invested in their projects, and they expect you to be also.

Who Is This Role For? The best candidates for this role tend to:

have strong interpersonal and communication skills

enjoy helping people through meaningful decisions

be comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities at once

have a genuine interest in photography, media, history, or the arts

and take pride in doing things correctly and thoroughly

Experience in customer-facing or sales-adjacent roles is important, but temperament and judgment matter just as much.

You must be able to work a full-time, in-person schedule; and stay reliably dependable at all times

You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Boca Raton

You must be comfortable using computers, business software, and internal systems

You must be reliable, organized, and accountable for your work
