Assistant Director.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

12 Months.

SALARY:

Varies.

BENEFITS:

30% PERS, Eligible for Insurance (79% medical is paid by FCA), 15 days PTO.

Qualifications

Teaching License issued by the State of Nevada Department of Education.

School Administrator License issued by the State of Nevada Department of Education.

Bachelor’s Degree related to teaching area.

Master’s Degree in Supervision or Administration.

5+ years of successful teaching experience.

JOB GOAL To use leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills so as to promote the educational development of each student.

Duties And Responsibilities

Facilitates the implementation and stewardship of the school vision, mission, and core values.

Collects and uses data to identify goals, assess organizational effectiveness, and promote learning

Creates and implements plans to achieve goals

Promotes continuous and sustainable improvement

Monitors and evaluates progress and revises plans

Uses methods of continuous improvement to achieve the vision, fulfill the mission, and promote the core values of the school.

Develops and supports intellectually rigorous and coherent systems of curriculum, instruction, and assessment to promote each student’s academic success and well-being.

Implements coherent systems of curriculum, instruction, and assessment that promote the mission, vision, and core values of the school, embody high expectations for student learning, align with academic standards, and are culturally responsive.

Aligns and focuses systems of curriculum, instruction, and assessment within and across grade levels to promote student academic success, love of learning, the identities and habits of learners, and healthy sense of self

Nurtures and sustains a culture of collaboration, trust, learning, and high expectations

Creates a comprehensive, rigorous, and coherent curricular program

Promotes the effective use of technology in the service of teaching and learning

Engages instructional staff in an ongoing process of evidence‑based inquiry, learning, strategic goal setting, planning, implementation, and evaluation for continuous school and classroom improvement

Develops the professional capacity and practice of school personnel to promote each student’s academic success and well‑being.

Recruits, hires, supports, develops, and retains effective and caring teachers and other instructional staff.

Develops teachers’ and staff members’ professional knowledge, skills, and practice through differentiated opportunities for learning and growth, guided by understanding of professional and adult learning and development.

Delivers actionable feedback about instruction and other professional practice through valid, research‑anchored systems of supervision and evaluation to support the development of teachers’ knowledge, skills, and practice.

Maintains assessment and accountability systems to monitor student progress.

Develops and maintains master schedule to maximize time spent on quality instruction.

Monitors and evaluates the impact and effectiveness of the instructional program.

Manages instructional and human resources for an efficient and effective learning environment.

Collaborates with instructional staff to determine effective teaching resources aligned with school vision, mission, core values, and state standards.

Obtains teaching materials for the classrooms.

Develops the capacity for distributed leadership.

Ensures teacher and organizational time is focused to support quality instruction and student learning

Engages families and the community in meaningful, reciprocal, and mutually beneficial ways to promote each student’s academic success and well‑being.

Is approachable, accessible, and welcoming to families and members of the community

Creates and sustains positive, collaborative, and productive relationships with families and the community

Engages in regular and open two‑way communication with families about the students’ needs, problems, and accomplishments.

Understands, values, and employs the community’s cultural, social, intellectual, and political resources to promote student learning.

Promotes the success of every student by acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner.

Ensures a system of accountability for every student’s academic and social success.

Models principles of self‑awareness, reflective practice, transparency, and ethical behaviors.

Considers and evaluates the potential moral and legal consequences of decision‑making.

A responsible, ethical, and accountable steward of the school’s monetary and non‑monetary resources.

REPORTS TO:

Executive Director.

Evaluation Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the Board’s Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

About Freedom Classical Academy Freedom Classical Academy is a K-8 public charter school operating in NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV. We educate approximately 1050 students each year and have been in operation since 2017. Freedom Classical Academy is a classical school focusing on STEM instruction, leadership, and values. We care deeply about both our students and our staff and work hard to provide a safe and enjoyable school environment for everyone on campus.
