Pine Lakes Golf Club is a signature Arnold Palmer 18‑hole course with a practice facility and 18,000 sq ft clubhouse. Palm Coast is located on the east coast of FL ½hr from St Augustine to the north and Daytona to the south.

We are looking for a hardworking, self‑motivated individual who wants to grow with us and takes pride in a job well done. This is a hands‑on position. The superintendent will report directly to the Owner and/or General Manager.

Responsibilities

A thorough knowledge of warm season Bermuda greens and turf management.

Proactive prevention and addressing of turf issues to provide the best outcomes.

Calibrate and apply pesticides and fertilizer applications; inventory chemicals and supplies; record applications in compliance with regulations.

Apply all essential greens applications and supervise routine spray applications.

Maintain the grounds around the clubhouse for an aesthetic and professional presentation.

Safely operate standard golf course maintenance equipment, including mowers, aeration equipment, chainsaw, tractors, backhoes, etc.

Run a professional, organized, and tidy maintenance building; write schedules for staff and assign daily work assignments; ensure operators are trained.

Lead by example with a hardworking and teamwork‑oriented leadership style; golf course superintendent work week will average at least 50 hrs.

Communicate effectively with lead mechanic to address equipment problems promptly.

Perform irrigation repairs as needed; work with and train staff in all areas of irrigation repairs and maintenance.

Manage computerized irrigation system, modify or set programs, and manage pump house operations; file bi‑annual water usage reports.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a first assistant or golf course superintendent.

Must have experience with warm season turf grasses and diseases.

Strong problem‑solving skills, efficient time management, solid communication and interpersonal skills.

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, organized, attentive to details, and self‑motivated.

Educational Requirements

A 2‑year Turf Management Degree or equivalent experience.

Florida Applicators License – Core & Ornamental Turfgrass (required).

Florida Aquatic Applicators License (plus).
