
Account Executive
Location: Remote (Houston, TX Area Preferred)
Travel: 10%–25%
Job Summary The Account Executive is responsible for developing and managing strategic client relationships within the oil and gas sector, with a primary focus on owners, contractors, consortia, joint ventures, and industry alliances. This role leads complex, consultative sales cycles and partners cross-functionally to deliver compliant drug and background check solutions aligned with regulatory, operational, and shared-services requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and manage strategic relationships with oil and gas contractors, owners, and consortium partners.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across consortia and contractor networks.
Lead consultative sales engagements by assessing client objectives and delivering tailored screening solutions.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive-level stakeholders, including C-suite and senior leadership.
Collaborate with customer success, operations, and internal stakeholders to support onboarding, implementation, renewals, and account growth.
Guide clients through RFP processes, contract negotiations, renewals, and expansions.
Monitor industry regulations, standards, and trends impacting drug and background screening programs.
Translate regulatory and market insights into proactive account strategies.
Represent the company at industry conferences, consortium meetings, and professional forums.
Manage account performance with a focus on revenue growth, profitability, and long‑term retention.
Establish and maintain voice‑of‑customer feedback mechanisms to enhance customer experience.
Handle escalations professionally and effectively in challenging situations.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible sales and/or account management experience.
Relevant industry experience preferred (oil and gas, workforce compliance, screening services, or related fields).
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Remote position with preference for candidates located in or near Houston, TX.
Travel required up to 25% for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
