
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, Modern Luxury Interiors New England
Location: Boston, MA
Directly Reports to: Boston Group Publisher, Janelle Driscoll
Purpose Modern Luxury is the preeminent luxury lifestyle publisher in the United States, with 75+ titles across 24 major markets— reaching more than 18 million affluent readers. Modern Luxury amplifies each city and all that it has to offer, giving each magazine the prominence of a national publication within its local market. The company’s unrivaled local intelligence, interactive digital brand extensions, and high‑touch experiential activations make Modern Luxury the most efficient way for luxury brands to reach America’s most affluent metropolitan consumers.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and cultivate leads in multiple local business categories, primarily focusing on the Interiors/Home category in the region.
Persuasively articulate Modern Luxury’s offerings, competitive advantages, resources, and processes to clients and prospects via in‑person sales meetings.
Establish a network of C‑Suite, senior‑level media and client relationships in vertical categories.
Develop multi‑platform sales/marketing programs across all titles.
Maintain effective, revenue‑generating relationships with client‑direct, media agency, and creative agencies.
Provide the highest level of sales/marketing consulting service to clients.
Meet monthly revenue goals as outlined in the sales plan.
Display a thorough understanding of assigned accounts’ business needs and revenue potential.
Assist sales management in defining and identifying potential sales targets and opportunities for expansion in new markets.
Assist in producing and attending events produced by Modern Luxury Boston, as well as seeking out and attending industry networking events throughout New England.
Assist in development of local marketing initiatives and participation in industry events.
Maintain a current and informative CRM database.
Comfortable in working in a team‑based environment.
Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Proven track record of sales success with high close ratio in a performance‑driven culture.
Proficient in Google Docs; Mac experience is a plus.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
Spanish language skills are a plus.
Motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations.
Minimum 5+ years of sales experience.
Ability to hit the ground running with a strong book of running business.
