Manager, Subscription Revenue & Salesforce Accounting

Lead GAAP-aligned accounting and financial reporting for membership dues, subscriptions, events, donations, and other recurring revenue managed within Salesforce, Fonteva, and Oracle. Direct a revenue accounting team ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, deferral, and recognition of these revenue streams. Maintain a strong internal control environment and audit-ready support around the revenue lifecycle.

Act as the finance owner for product structure, pricing logic, deferred revenue schedules, refund controls, exception reporting, and Oracle integration. Communicate clearly across business teams, present revenue insights to leadership, and simplify complex revenue topics for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities Membership & Subscription Revenue Leadership

Direct team ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, deferral, and GAAP recognition of membership dues, subscriptions, donations, events, and recurring revenue originating in Salesforce/Fonteva/Oracle.

Design and maintain revenue structures, confirm product/pricing configurations, fund/restriction coding, and deferred revenue schedules in Salesforce/Fonteva for seamless ERP integration.

Oversee payment gateway controls, refunds, write‑offs, and exception handling; perform control reconciliations between CRM/AMS and general ledger.

Leverage SQL and Power BI to validate data quality, monitor close progress, and deliver self‑service dashboards on actuals such as cash collections, refunds, and other key accounting metrics.

Systems Ownership & Data Integrity

Serve as finance data owner for revenue fields, mapping logic, validation rules, and source to ledger posting rules from Salesforce/Fonteva into Oracle Cloud.

Document data flow narratives, internal controls, and risk points in clear language for IT, business teams, and external auditors.

Collaborate with business units to translate technical requirements into efficient, understandable process improvements.

Leadership, Controls & Financial Close

Provide direction, coaching, and performance management to membership revenue & GL team, fostering accuracy, innovation, and professional growth.

Lead monthly/annual close components related to subscription and salesforce revenue, review journal entries, reconciliations, and unusual activity.

Design/document accounting policies and internal controls supporting revenue lifecycle and reporting.

Drive process improvement, Salesforce/Fonteva enhancements, and ERP integrations, to strengthen controls and efficiency.

Audit, Compliance & Cross‑Functional Partnership

Prepare audit schedules and support external audits for revenue, MedAxiom, and endowment activity.

Assist with IRS Forms 990/990‑T and charitable filings.

Partner with Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to align systems, data flows, and reporting needs.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar.

5+ years of progressive accounting, audit, and finance systems experience.

Hands‑on Salesforce/Fonteva (or similar AMS) experience with revenue recognition and ERP integration.

Strong GAAP/ASC 958 knowledge; nonprofit accounting and for‑profit subsidiary experience.

Proven leadership/coaching and change management skills, ensuring timely adoption of new accounting standards and proactively implementing system enhancements.

Strong working knowledge of SQL, Power BI (or comparable analytics platforms), and advanced Excel to drive automation, perform data integrity checks/ data validation, and enhance overall system efficiency and monitoring.

Desired

CMA, CFA (at least one level), CIA, CPA or similar certification

Power BI Certification, Salesforce Certification, Oracle Cloud Certification

Experience in a Big 4 or comparable national/regional audit firm.
