About the Role The Retail Asset Protection Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and profitable retail environment. This position focuses on preventing loss, deterring theft, and supporting store teams through proactive asset protection strategies while delivering a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor store activity to prevent theft, fraud, and inventory loss
Conduct surveillance and investigations in accordance with company policies and local laws
Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and recommend preventive measures
Prepare detailed incident reports and documentation
Assist with internal investigations related to theft or policy violations
Support safety initiatives and emergency response procedures
Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor as a deterrent to theft
Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in asset protection, loss prevention, security, or retail preferred
Strong observational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
Knowledge of theft prevention techniques and safety procedures
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
