U.S. Non-Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) Business Relationship Management (BRM) is currently seeking a Market Research Associate based out of our New York office. This exciting marketing and relationship management support role will report to a Senior Director on the NBFI team with the primary objective of originating new ratings mandates but also managing and optimizing key existing relationships in this dynamic sector. Fitch’s NBFI group has grown extensively in recent years and the candidate will be responsible for several tasks critical to managing a large deal pipeline. Exceptional data management skills are essential to succeed in this role, as you will have direct responsibility for tracking, organizing, and maintaining accurate records for a high volume of transactions. This will include direct responsibility for tasks related to data management involving commercial agreements, invoicing and revenue reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring deals are invoiced accurately and on time, with direct accountability to senior management. Track, organize, and maintain a comprehensive and accurate database of current and prospective deals/transactions, ensuring all records are up to date and easily accessible. Keep track of data related to current and prospective deals, coordinating closely with Fitch’s finance team to ensure proper and timely invoicing. Prepare summaries related to business growth, revenue growth, and prospective deals at a moment’s notice for senior management. Coordinate with Fitch’s finance team to process associated billing and ensure proper revenue management. This area is critical and will have high visibility directly from senior management. Manage and organize data within MS Excel and other tools/dashboards to ensure accuracy and consistency. Assist in creating and maintaining templates for recurring reports to senior management. Prepare commercial agreement documents, proactively monitor deal status and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to move opportunities forward. Schedule and attend client meetings, taking detailed notes and maintaining data in internal systems at the direction of senior BRMs. Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency of data and revenue management. What You Need to Have:
A relevant university degree, preferably in business, finance, economics, or data analytics. Excellent Excel/data analytic skills (lookups, index, pivot tables, macros, formulas, shortcuts, etc.). Strong PowerPoint presentation skills. Excellent communication skills in English; other languages are an advantage.
