About This Role As a Corporate Partnerships Marketing Manager, you will serve as the main POC for several key corporate partners. The ideal candidate will exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and customer service while managing key deliverables for partnership strategy, planning, deliverables, and awareness of incremental/added‑value opportunities. This person will also support the evolution of the department’s partnership strategy. At Wave FC, we share a positive enthusiasm for collaboration; this full‑time position works closely with marketing and other team members to help achieve shared objectives. Depending upon education, skill set, and experience, the annual base salary range is $75,000–$85,000 plus commissions.

Role Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison between Sponsors and the San Diego Wave FC organization to facilitate execution of sponsorship agreements

Collaborate with sales colleagues to ensure a full understanding of client marketing objectives and strategic priorities

Collaborate with internal departments to properly execute contractual marketing assets received by Sponsors

Manage all aspects of top‑tier partnership marketing asset execution including, but not limited to, team marketing rights and exclusivities, game day and special events, in‑market activation and promotions, hospitality, TV, radio, and social/digital marketing

Develop and implement year‑long strategic marketing programs, including experiential, retail and digital programs that meet client goals and objectives

Identify strategic partner renewal and upsell opportunities within individual book of business

Present detailed reports on sponsorship execution, including partner‑specific data and analytic summaries, affidavits, and video/photography recaps

Maintain detailed planning records, using CRM system

Track expenses and manage budgets related to execution of sponsorship agreements

Facilitate ongoing client engagement through meetings, conference calls, and written correspondence

Maintain thorough communication with Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships regarding all sponsor account activity

Support game‑day operations in regard to client/VIP guest hospitality and corporate partnership activation

Other duties assigned as business needs evolve

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required

2+ years experience in a sponsorship, marketing or related role

A natural problem solver

All‑hands‑on‑deck attitude

Desire to see projects through to completion with exceptional excellence

Experience managing execution of marketing campaigns and/or sponsorship accounts

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally

Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple clients and projects

Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure

Able to work well within a team environment, assisting and supporting team members whenever necessaryAble to balance internal priorities with client expectations

Passion for the success of women’s professional sports

Ability to work non‑traditional hours, including scheduled home games on weekends, evenings and holidays

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management/CRM software applications
