This role is focused on translating complex AI and machine learning advancements into compelling narratives that showcase the groundbreaking technology behind Alexa+ through creative communications and campaigns. We are looking for someone who loves to ideate, plan, and execute compelling storytelling that translates complex technical details into relevant narratives for broad audiences. In this role, you will own a comms roadmap to drive sustained momentum around Alexa+, developing and executing high-impact campaigns that establish Alexa+ as a world-class AI assistant. You’ll craft compelling thought leadership narratives, translate complex technical advancements and engineering achievements into stories that resonate with technology media, industry analysts, and tech-savvy audiences. You will develop and execute proactive thought leadership campaigns that position Alexa+ at the forefront of industry conversations, creating sustained interest and credibility around our technical approach throughout the year. Through strategic media relations and proactive pitching, you\'ll build relationships with technology, AI, and business media contacts, securing coverage that illustrates the breadth and depth of innovation involved in creating Alexa+. This is a strategic role where you\'ll collaborate with cross-functional partners including product, engineering, and content teams to identify compelling stories, develop impactful campaign concepts, and execute PR programs. You\'ll bring creativity, curiosity, editorial judgement, and an abundance of bias for action to everything you do. Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience Proven track record of securing high-impact media coverage in top-tier technology and consumer publications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for broad audiences. Demonstrated ability to develop strategic communications plans that drive business results. Extreme proactivity—a desire to drive campaigns and storytelling, outside of launch moments. Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing complex product launches and multi-stakeholder programs. Ability to earn trust with senior, executive-level leaders. Experience in consumer technology communications, particularly in AI, software features, or hardware categories. Demonstrated track record of developing successful proactive PR campaigns and thought leadership programs. Experience working with engineering and product teams in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments. Established relationships with technology reporters and influencers. Understanding of emerging technology trends. Ability to develop long-term communications strategies aligned with business goals. Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives from complex technical information. Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with internal partners and external media. Focus on measurable outcomes and media impact. Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with shifting priorities. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
