This role can be either a hybrid or fully onsite role based at our corporate headquarters in Irvine, California.
How you’ll make an impact: The Senior Analyst will advise sales staff on pricing and rebates based on analysis of data, and develop sales and consignment contracts in accordance with negotiated and/or appropriate terms.
Develop pricing models for sales contracts, analyze market and internal sales data, provide pricing advice for Edwards’ U.S. sales staff within the guidelines of business unit pricing, develop pricing proposals to customers and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) in collaboration with field sales
For renewal contracts, evaluate prior terms and conditions, and propose and/or negotiate revised terms and conditions, where appropriate
Review, revise, and negotiate specified contract terms with customers and IDN
Interface with internal and external customers to complete non-pricing data needed and/or obtain clarification on non-pricing data needed to finalize contracts
Generate contracts and contract amendments, including extensions, model add/delete, price changes, consignment changes, and terms and conditions, based on information provided by sales field
Review all contracts to ensure compliance with established business unit guidelines, including securing appropriate approvals
Support the review and response preparation for RFIs and RFPs. Coordinate with other departments to prepare response.
Manage the implementation of pricing, rebates, and customer communication.
Administers contracts through their lifecycle (including, but not limited to, system setup, records retention, payments, roster management, renewal)
Monitor customer contract compliance as required in contract terms and conditions and provide recommendations if contract modifications are required.
Support audits and compliance testing by providing information and supporting documents
Provide contract reports and information to management as requested
Other duties assigned by Leadership (e.g., Surface pricing discrepancies and validate requests for billing adjustments, coordinate with Accounts Receivable)
What you’ll need (required):
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 years of previous related experience in contract or bid management or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria required
What else we look for (preferred):
Prior experience in commercial contracting and government contracting in the medical device industry
Prior experience working with pricing in the medical device industry
Prior experience with commercial/sales operations
Prior experience working with field sales
Prior experience with ERPs and/or pricing systems (JDE, SAP, Model N)
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (intermediate to advanced)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including customer negotiating and relationship management skills
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions
Ability to present in a clear and concise manner
Good leadership skills with ability to influence change and work independently with minimal direction
Strict attention to detail
Strong organization skills and ability to handle complexity
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams.
Ability to act as key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects
Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
Knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to contract or bid management
