FUNCTION The Production Coordinator will coordinate with internal and external resources, ensuring that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget while adhering to standards and best practices. In addition, the Production Coordinator will analyze production progress. As a vital member of the Production team, the Production Coordinator will contribute their expertise to build the skill sets of team members and share learnings with other employees.
REPORTING TO Production Manager
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Production Manager in the development of project management documents.
Provide detailed updates to project managers and/or other stakeholders.
Communicating: Keep team members informed and communicate with clients to define project objectives.
Identifying issues: Report risks and issues to the Production Leadership team and escalated them as needed.
Building relationships: Work with team members to build strong relationships and keep morale high.
Ensure team members have the supplies and resources they need to complete their assigned tasks on time and within their budget limits.
Assist in building budget reports.
Assist in updating production schedules/pull data for production leadership team to allow for production planning.
Prepare and Organize Work Orders.
Plan meetings and organize project logistics.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of project or departmental needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to work on a computer (standing or sitting) for most of the day and use standard office equipment. The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors is essential. May occasionally lift and carry objects, materials, or equipment, typically under 25 pounds.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Primarily an office environment with occasional exposure to the fabrication/machine shops. JFT has implemented a 9/80 work schedule, and the office is closed every other Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Three or more years of experience in production coordination.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Associates degree (or equivalent experience) in relevant field, engineering is a plus.
Production and Manufacturing experience.
Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) a plus.
ACCESS TO RESTRICTED INFORMATION This role requires immediate and routine access to restricted information under federal law, including but not limited to Export Controlled Information (ECI), Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Department of Energy Official Use Only (DOE OUO), and/or ITAR‑controlled technical data. Under applicable DOE orders and client contracts, non‑U.S. citizen candidates (including lawful permanent residents) may require an approved DOE Foreign National Visit/Assignment (FNVA) before beginning work or accessing project information.
