Position Overview This role combines the consultative, client-facing elements of outside sales with the detail-oriented coordination of inside sales. You’ll work directly with homeowners, builders, and general contractors to drive sales of residential and custom home garage door products while ensuring seamless project communication and customer satisfaction. This position requires excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills along with the ability to read blueprints, prepare pricing quotes and close sales confidently.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and builder relationships.
Conduct in-home and on-site consultations to understand customer needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
Recruit and communicate with home builders to review plans and recommend the appropriate garage door and opener solutions.
Prepare and deliver accurate pricing quotes, ensuring all specifications meet building and wind load requirements.
Maintain regular communication with leads and customers throughout the sales process to ensure a professional, customer-first experience.
Collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure smooth scheduling, project execution, and customer satisfaction.
Stay current on industry trends, product developments, and competitor offerings.
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, quotes, and customer interaction in the company’s CRM.
Learn and effectively present Banko’s complete product line, including garage doors, openers, and accessories.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Read blueprints, complete take-offs, and ensure products meet wind load requirements by location.
Qualifications
Minimum 5-years of proven success in sales, preferably in the garage door, construction, or home improvement industries.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing take-offs.
Highly organized with strong follow-up and time management skills.
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic sales team.
Familiarity with garage door products and services preferred.
Valid and 3-year minimum clean driving record (MVR).
Background check is required.
