Sales Professional – Safety & Safety Services
Job Summary
Under the direction of t he Director of Sales, the Sales Professional – Safety & Safety Services is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, growing, and maintaining an assigned territory, and delivering technical safety solutions to industrial customers. This role partners closely with internal teams and customers to proactively resolve issues, identify new opportunities, and exceed sales goals while providing value-driven, cost-saving solutions.
This is an industrial sales position calling on customers in such industries as Food & Beverage, Power Plants, General Manufacturing, Construction, Municipalities, Engineering Firms, and other industrial facilities, providing technical s afety products and services, including PPE, air monitoring systems, and related safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Professional’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute strategic account plans and accurate sales forecasts for assigned accounts and territory Grow, manage, and maintain new and existing customer relationships within the territory Identify and develop new sales and service opportunities aligned with customer needs Understand customer operations, safety objectives, and supply chain goals to deliver proactive, value-added solutions Provide technical safety solutions using products and services represented by the company Establish and expand relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations Stay current on industry trends, safety regulations, and product advancements Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to proactively resolve issues Maintain strong process discipline and follow defined sales and reporting processes Provide regular DXP reports for key accounts, highlighting: Account changes Service or safety challenges Competitive activity Customer projects and initiatives Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales goals
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Strong background in Safety Products and Safety Services, preferably in industrial environments In-depth knowledge of PPE products, safety programs, and compliance requirements Demonstrated expertise or certifications such as: CSP OSHA 30-Hour Fall Protection Confined Space Related safety certifications preferred Knowledge of air monitoring systems and calibration practices strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree helpful but not required Customer-service-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building skills Proven ability to generate proposals and develop customized solutions Excellent analytical, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and computer literate Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience maintaining long-term customer relationships with repeat and add-on business Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per company guidelines
