GENERAL DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Office Manager, this position performs entry level to routine customer service work including general clerical duties and information to the public. Responsible for collection, license and permit sales, automated campsite registration, park store inventory and accounting for daily revenue. Operates credit card machine, campsite registration, computer and license sales machine. Prepares reports, correspondence and maintains files. Performs daily light maintenance and cleaning of office, restrooms and visitor center. Assists park staff in conducting education and interpretive programs to audiences of all ages. Works under close to moderate supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Completion of 8th grade.
Experience: None required.
Licensure: Must possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid state driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from High School or GED.
Experience: One year experience in areas such as general clerical, customer service, front desk reception, cash handling and or public speaking; Experience in accounting, typing, record keeping, and data entry.
