Role Overview
As the Business Development Manager (BDM), your primary responsibilities will include acquiring and managing a book of business while enhancing regional import/export sales in air and ocean freight internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and generate new business opportunities through effective research, prospecting, and relationship building.
Expand market share in your assigned territory and achieve financial targets for volume, revenue, and profit.
Secure new business contracts and onboard clients seamlessly.
Enhance market share within the existing client base.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through consistent communication.
Collaborate with the Pricing team to develop competitive pricing strategies and customer rate quotes.
Monitor and manage client credit lines in accordance with company policies.
Regularly update the Company's CRM with accurate client information.
Provide monthly budget reviews and communicate your progress to management.
Client and Supplier Management:
Utilize established tools to manage allocated customers and surpass set targets.
Conduct weekly follow-ups with new clients after their first shipments.
Ensure timely completion of customer requests related to commercial activities at the highest service level.
Adhere to client service level agreements.
Qualifications:
Proven ability to transfer current clients without any non-compete restrictions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
Strong commitment to meeting and exceeding client needs.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.
Bringing an existing book of business is a plus.
