MathWorks is seeking a senior, productminded leader to shape pricing, packaging, and licensing across Desktop, SaaS, and GenAI offerings. You will work at the intersection of product strategy and monetization, defining models that balance customer value, adoption, and longterm growth. The role leads pricing and licensing frameworks for new launches, SaaS and GenAI monetization, global price updates, and major businessmodel transitions.
It's ideal for candidates from Pricing, Product Marketing, or Product Management who enjoy crossfunctional decisionmaking and using data to drive product and business outcomes. A minimum of 10 years of experience in pricing analysis, product marketing, or related fields is required.
MathWorks nurtures growth, appreciates inclusivity, encourages initiative, values teamwork, shares success, and rewards excellence.
Responsibilities
Own pricing and licensing strategy as a product lever across B2B and B2C offerings, aligning monetization with product value, customer workflows, and longterm business objectives. Lead quantitative analyses-forecasting, scenario modeling, and impact assessment-to evaluate tradeoffs across revenue, margin, adoption, and customer experience. Partner with Business Model, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to align pricing recommendations with broader company goals. Assess competitive pricing, market trends, and monetization patterns to identify risks, opportunities, and inflection points. Forecast revenue, margin, and adoption outcomes for proposed pricing changes across global markets. Prepare clear, compelling analyses and recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Drive pricing initiatives from concept through implementation, working with crossfunctional teams to ensure changes are operationally feasible and accurately executed in systems and processes. Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing analytics, frameworks, and methodologies. Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required. Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Proven experience influencing product, packaging, pricing, or monetization decisions using qualitative insight and quantitative analysis. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior and crossfunctional audiences. Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience using analytical, statistical, or datavisualization tools. Demonstrated ability to lead complex, crossfunctional initiatives through influence rather than authority. Experience with SaaS pricing, monetization models, usagebased pricing, or cloud licensing. Background in pricing for AI/ML or GenAI products. Experience leading or supporting major businessmodel transitions (e.g., DesktoptoSaaS, licensing modernization). Familiarity with enterprise software and global pricing structures. Knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting methods, or pricing optimization techniques.
