Customer Service Representative

Join nVent as a Customer Service Representative supporting SCHROFF and Data Solutions customers across Aerospace & Defense, Data Center & Networking, and other key market segments at our Warwick, RI location. In this role, you'll guide customers through pricing, order management, and delivery while collaborating behind the scenes with multiple teams to drive satisfaction and repeat business. ** This is an hourly position. Once fully onboarded, you can work a hybrid work schedule with 4 days/week on-site in Warwick, RI and 1 day at home. ** What You Will Experience In This Position: Connect with customers, outside sales, and production on all aspects of order creation and follow-up, providing a high level of knowledge and support. Research and recommend solutions for all incoming requests regarding pricing and availability, order changes/status, and complex questions for multiple product brands. Process domestic standard distributor and non-standard orders independently and accurately for multiple functional areas/brands with a clear understanding of the differences between direct and distribution business. Work with sales, marketing, production, shipping and other operating functions regarding product, delivery, or service matters. Monitor and follow-up on scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery. This may include obtaining proof of delivery and/or expediting shipment as needed. Use product knowledge to make decisions that result in improved customer satisfaction. You Have: 2+ years of customer service or customer support experience. Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environment is ideal. Experience working with a CRM and ERP system (such as Salesforce and/or JDE) is preferred. Ability to manage the full customer order lifecyclefrom pricing and lead times through order entry, follow-up, and issue resolutionwhile coordinating with sales and internal partners. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, ask the right questions, and coordinate solutions across sales, production, logistics, and technical teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the capability to engage effectively with repeat OEM customers, outside sales teams, and cross-functional partners. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, self-directed environment while balancing multiple priorities and regional customer responsibilities. Additional Requirements: The nVent Warwick, RI facility is an ITAR controlled site. All candidates must be a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.
