POSITION SUMMARY Responsible and accountable for planning and executing residential activities, leasing, resident retention, and resident relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, execute, prepare and clean up resident activities
Show apartments to prospective residents
Present apartment community in a professional manner
Handle lease negotiations and renewals
Assist manager in maintaining excellent curb appeal
Maintain compliance policies and procedures
Take work order requests from current residents and relay to manager or maintenance staff
Assist manager with rent and delinquency collection
Assist manager with resident relations and enforce all community rules and regulations
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1 year of experience
Language Skills – Ability to read, write, speak and interpret rules, procedures, routine reports/correspondence and to speak effectively with groups of employees and/or residents.
Math Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide by 10s and 100s.
Reasoning Skills – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills – Beginner experience with MS Office.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Annually attend fair housing, Section 42 and leasing classes.
Ongoing professional development.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Rarely must stand, reach with hands/arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, be exposed to outside weather conditions or lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally must walk and sit. Regularly must use hands to finger/handle/feel, talk and hear. Close and distance vision is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Normally works in an environment with moderate noise.
