Summary: As the Data Center Deployment Strategy Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of hyper scale AI and production-focused data center development. Your expertise in cost, scheduling, constructability, and commercial risk will inform critical strategies and tactics in areas ranging from site selection to operational hand-off. You will harness industry market intelligence to drive informed decision-making, ensuring rapid deployment and alignment with business objectives. Become a cornerstone of the Capacity and Deployment Strategy team as we innovate deployment strategies based on real-time evaluations of cost, schedule, and risk. Key Responsibilities: Analyze market trends and deliver data-driven insights to mitigate risks in data center deployment.

Forge strong partnerships with industry peers, contractors, and suppliers to proactively address supply chain obstacles.

Benchmark strategies against leading industry practices, utilizing insights from internal networks.

Synthesize quantitative and qualitative research quickly to inform strategic decisions.

Provide valuable insights into Meta's competitive execution advantages.

Contribute market intelligence to major deployment decisions within DEC-Eng.

Offer technical analysis and project insights to the Market Intelligence team for enhanced context.

Examine industry trends and peer practices focused on risk management and deployment strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Delivery, Preconstruction, Engineering, and Operations for a smooth transition from development to execution.

Identify potential delivery risks and partner with teams to mitigate them within cost and schedule parameters.

Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications: At least 10 years of experience in engineering or construction roles, both in office and field environments.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems specific to Data Center applications.

Research experience in data centers, networking, silicon, hardware, or AI sectors.

Proven experience in commercial management, market intelligence, and strategic planning with a focus on risk management.

Knowledge of construction standards and codes.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to develop strategic communication plans.

Understanding of construction methods, project sequencing, critical path scheduling, and cost estimating.

Experience with budgeting and cost estimation for large capital projects.

Experience in mission-critical infrastructure and/or data center construction.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with construction market intelligence programs.

Master's degree or relevant License in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Management.

Additional experience or certification in Project Management, Logistics, or Leadership.

Diverse background in roles such as Owner, General Contractor, Trade Contractor, Supplier, or Consultant.

Familiarity with Google Suite and other planning and communication tools.
