Role Summary Senior Director, US Area Team West — serves as a regional team leader in the West and is responsible for achieving regional and national sales goals by leading a team of Duchenne Area Managers, developing strategic regional business plans, and communicating disease state overview and the safe and effective use of our product portfolio to healthcare professionals. The role collaborates with Market Access & Reimbursement, Advocacy, Patient Services, Marketing, and Medical teams, and requires thriving in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, driving results, and a commitment to improving patients’ lives. Location: United States; on‑site at Sarepta facilities.

Responsibilities

Manage, develop, and lead a team of Duchenne Area Managers in assigned region.

Recruit, hire, train, coach and motivate sales team, fostering a positive culture and ensuring continuous performance improvement

Promote a team culture of ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement throughout the team by regularly communicating Sarepta’s core values, business objectives, desired performance outcomes, and future actions to realize those outcomes.

Direct promotion of safe and effective use of Sarepta’s FDA approved products in accordance with the product label and with company training and policies.

Ability to analyze complex business issues and to lead the development of customized, high value‑added solutions

Responsible for developing and executing strategic/tactical business plans for the region, focused on new revenue generation and building and maintaining rapport with key DMD stakeholders.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key DMD stakeholders in the West Region.

Develop a deep understanding of the current DMD environment; maintaining thorough knowledge of disease, local drivers, treatment and referral patterns, key account profiles, influence patterns, and barriers to optimal care.

Work collaboratively across functional areas within Sarepta to achieve common goals and address issues.

Facilitate the coordination of internal and external resources to enhance patient care in the region.

Attend and lead meetings, ability to flex and take on projects and other duties, as requested by senior management.

Exercises sound judgment adhering to relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies.

Anticipate trends impacting the company’s promotional strategies and develop appropriate action plans to address the risks and opportunities.

Analyze regional sales performance, key individual metrics, and CRM input to identify business trends, opportunities, obstacles, gaps, and areas for improvement.

Conduct Performance Reviews, provide coaching and support for regional team to keep them focused, motivated and driven toward reaching individual and regional goals

Establish and maintain effective regional and cross-regional communications.

Participate in development and implementation of sales strategy, and associated tactics

Partner with Marketing Lead(s) to ensure effective execution of key initiatives that align with product strategy and support achievement of national and regional sales goals.

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum of 12+ years of sales experience in the rare disease/biotechnology space.

Preferred:

At least 5 years of leadership experience with at least 1 pharmaceutical/biotech launch and proven track record in rare disease; internal Sarepta leadership training candidates will be considered.

Preferred:

Neuromuscular, Pediatric Neurology, or other Genetic specialty experience.

Required:

Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments.

Required:

Excellent leadership and coaching skills with proven performance; ability to influence and motivate others (top 10% of sales force).

Required:

Proficient with CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce).

Required:

Demonstrates passion for improving DMD patient care delivery; strong customer orientation and insight.

Required:

Highly motivated; able to work cross‑functionally to accomplish objectives.

Preferred:

Adopts and embraces innovative technologies and IT competencies to support business needs.

Preferred:

Product launch experience in rare disease and subcutaneous/infusion space.

Required:

Strong communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and succinctly to key internal and external stakeholders.

Education

Additional Requirements

Travel up to 75% (including overnight).

Valid driver’s license and in good standing.
