About the Role:

Kilroy Realty Corporation is seeking a dynamic and experienced cybersecurity leader to oversee our Cybersecurity Operations function. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day technical security operations in a hybrid environment (IT & OT), leveraging both internal resources and external partners such as Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and SOC-as-a-Service providers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational security, incident response, and threat management, with experience integrating outsourced SOC capabilities into an enterprise security program.

Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day cybersecurity technical operations, ensuring timely detection, investigation, and remediation of threats within the IT & OT Ecosystem. Drive automation and orchestration workflows. Drive weekly cross functional infrastructure & cybersecurity syncs. Analyze and report vulnerabilities management analytics and assist in prioritizing patching within an IT & OT environment. Assist in driving our enhanced infrastructure and application security posture. Develop and maintain operational playbooks for incident response and escalation. Manage MDR and SOC-aa-S relationships, ensuring SLA compliance and effective threat management. Coordinate and lead technical incident response activities across internal teams and external SOC partners. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Assist in continuous monitoring and enhancing the organization's Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities. Audit systems and access to risk and compliance issues. Oversee threat hunting and proactive detection initiatives. Administrate security tools with support from the infrastructure team. Develop and manage Kilroy's Security Awareness Program, including phishing simulations and employee training campaigns Partner with HR and IT to deliver engaging security awareness education content tailored to different roles. Track and report awareness of metrics to leadership, driving continuous improvement. Assist in reporting cybersecurity operations metrics. Stay current in emerging threats and recommend enhancements to security strategy. Assist in the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) team with IT compliance efforts. Required Skills & Experience:

7 to 12+ years in cybersecurity operations with cybersecurity management experience. Educational experience can be supplemented Experience managing MDR/SOC-as-a-Service providers in a hybrid security model. Experience with EDR, Email Security, IAM, Vulnerability Management, and Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS). Familiarity with cloud security (Azure) and modern enterprise environments. Excellent communication and vendor management skills. Ability to present information at a non-technical level to non-technical stakeholders.

What we offer

At Kilroy, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within the role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,000 to $222,500 and your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus as well.
