Lead Storage Solutions Engineer

who is eager to apply their expertise to ambitious projects. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment and possess in-depth knowledge of engineering processes that support significant national defense initiatives through agile software development. Work will be performed in Colorado. Please apply if you are willing to consider relocation to Colorado. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable enterprise storage architectures, utilizing SAN, NAS, and NVMe-over-TCP technologies. Lead architecture reviews and capacity planning to optimize high-performance and high-availability storage systems. Deploy and manage storage infrastructures using Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NVMe over TCP, and RAID protocols. Drive the integration of next-generation storage solutions, such as all-flash and NVMe-based systems. Monitor and optimize storage systems for latency, throughput, and IOPS performance. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve performance bottlenecks across computing and storage layers. Architect and test failover and high-availability solutions to ensure business continuity. Develop and implement replication, snapshot, and backup strategies in alignment with RPO/RTO objectives. Provide Level 3 support for storage-related incidents and changes. Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage configurations and operational runbooks. Collaborate closely with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to meet organizational requirements. Perform other assigned duties to support business objectives. Required Skills & Experience: Active Secret clearance. 7+ years of experience in datacenter engineering. CompTIA Security+ Certification. Expertise in NAS (NFS, SMB) and SAN (Fibre Channel, iSCSI) systems, as well as NVMe over TCP. Strong knowledge of storage protocols, including multipathing, zoning, and LUN masking. Experience with storage monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Grafana. Hands-on experience with storage appliances, including Dell Powerscale, Powerstore, and/or Unity. Proven experience in designing high-availability storage solutions. Deep understanding of performance metrics (IOPS, latency, throughput) and tuning methodologies. Experience with disaster recovery (DR) solutions and storage replication technologies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desired Skills & Experience: Active DoD TS/SCI clearance. In-depth experience with Cohesity or Veeam backup solutions. Proficiency in VMware compute, storage, and network configurations. Familiarity with on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, especially with Kubernetes. Expert understanding of LAN/WAN principles and protocols, including BGP routing. Application Deadline:
