Job Summary:
We are seeking a
Generative AI Strategist
to lead the exploration, adoption, and strategic implementation of generative AI technologies across our Air Force logistics programs. This senior advisory role will work directly with the Program Manager to develop and execute a roadmap for AI integration, balancing innovation with practical constraints of the DoD environment.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in GenAI architectures with the ability to evangelize, educate, and provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams. You will help our organization understand where AI delivers value, where it doesn't, and how to navigate the gap between commercial AI capabilities and DoD-approved tools.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: *This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and maintain a comprehensive GenAI adoption roadmap
Lead systematic exploration of AI use cases across team productivity, service delivery, and new capability development
Conduct rigorous evaluations producing go/no-go recommendations with supporting analysis
Document exploration outcomes: what worked, limitations identified, implementation requirements, and cost-benefit analysis
Serve as the organization's primary advocate and educator for generative AI adoption
Help team members discover practical AI applications in daily work
Provide hands-on training, demonstrations, and implementation support
Work with delivery leads to identify AI opportunities in achieving program objectives
Guide teams in recognizing diminishing returns and making informed decisions about when AI adds value vs. when human effort is more efficient
Evaluate and recommend appropriate LLM models (Sonnet 4.5, GPT-5.2, etc.) and applications for specific use cases
Assess GenAI.mil capabilities and limitations
Design architectural solutions, including RAG implementations, document parsing pipelines, and agent-based systems
Lead development of program-level policies for AI ethics, data handling, and responsible use
Establish criteria and frameworks for evaluating when AI is not appropriate for a given use case
Ensure AI adoption aligns with DoD data strategy, security requirements, and compliance obligations
Create guidelines for validation and quality assurance of AI-generated outputs
Develop presentation materials explaining AI capabilities, limitations, and recommendations
Present findings and recommendations to program leadership and government clients
Translate complex technical concepts into executive-level strategic guidance
Support business case development for AI-enabled task orders and new service offerings
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience): What we’re looking for...
Ability to obtain Secret clearance (required).
7+ years in AI/ML roles with at least 3 years focused on generative AI and large language models

Proficiency with AI applications (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) and their distinctive features
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing AI architectures (RAG, document parsing, agent frameworks, prompt engineering)
Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; experience developing and delivering executive presentations
Proven ability to evaluate technology against business objectives and provide balanced recommendations
