As the
Security Solutions Specialist , you will support the planning, configuration, documentation, and coordination of electronic security system installations for clients in commercial, government, and critical-infrastructure environments. This role blends technical programming, workflow oversight, customer communication, and detailed documentation. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, independent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment. Key Responsibilities
Develop project installation plans, equipment lists, and configuration documentation Coordinate schedules, programming requirements, materials, and installation workflows Prepare system configuration files, naming conventions, credential programming, and database updates Review engineered drawings, perform red-line updates, and manage accurate as-built documentation Create and maintain client-facing documentation, user guides, and maintenance records Conduct system testing, verification, and functional checks; prepare written test reports Track project status and prepare weekly updates for project managers and clients Serve as a customer point of contact for configuration, access rights, and technical support Evaluate system performance and propose improvements to increase stability and usability Required Skills & Qualifications
A.S. or A.A.S. in Technology, Engineering, or related discipline (Bachelor's preferred, but not required) 0-3+ years of experience with security systems or low-voltage integration Experience with access control, CCTV/VMS, and intrusion systems preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks Ability to exercise independent judgment and recommend technical solutions Strong communication skills with clients, technicians, and internal teams Understanding of low-voltage systems, networking fundamentals, and device integration Proficiency with documentation tools, spreadsheets, and project planning software Ability to interpret specifications, engineered drawings, and system diagrams
