JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a skilled Virtualization Engineer to manage and support our VMware vCenter environment across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The role focuses on VM provisioning, lifecycle management, performance monitoring, automation, and ensuring SLA compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Manage VMware vCenter clusters, ESXi hosts, and virtual machines. Provision, optimize, and decommission virtual machines to ensure performance and capacity efficiency. Develop and maintain automation scripts or bots for VM provisioning, health checks, and routine maintenance. Integrate monitoring tools (e.g., vROPs, Newrelic ) for proactive performance and capacity management. Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization-related incidents and support change implementations following ITIL best practices. Collaborate with Storage and Backup teams to ensure proper VM backups and disaster recovery strategies. Maintain documentation for virtual infrastructure, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Ensure virtualization infrastructure complies with security standards and internal policies.
