
Job Description:
Perform firewall management, rule set configuration, validation, and advanced troubleshooting for KDE and all KY K-12 school districts. Provide operational support and management of the KY K-12 Enterprise Active Directory environment in cooperation with Microsoft and other internal teams. Manage and maintain an enterprise remote access VPN solution for all KY K-12 users, including configuration changes, applying updates, and troubleshooting issues. Serve as a technical project resource for major security initiatives in KY K-12 school districts. Manage statewide DNS infrastructure, including configuration changes and troubleshooting DNS-related issues. Manage enterprise DDoS mitigation services within a Managed Security Services group. Investigate and respond to alerts and incidents using the Microsoft 365 Defender suite. ssist with security risk assessments, vulnerability scanning and remediation, audit responses, and open records requests. Provide Q&A and Tier 3 escalation support for KY K-12 school district customers, directly troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. Assist or lead technical conversations, troubleshooting sessions, and presentations to these customers. Other Duties as Assigned.
