The Sr. IP Coordinator will utilize their expertise as a client support lead or major subprocess leader to drive initiatives related to client or attorney changes as well as collaborate with leadership regarding any practice group changes. This role may lead a small client team and/or provide training for junior practice group members. This position reports to the Team Lead.

Essential Functions

Manage client relationship via serving as expert regarding IP processes and questions for both clients and inventors; Obtain inventor signatures as needed; Prepare client correspondence and various reporting; Serve as liaison between attorney and client.

Manage client reporting and tracking including status updates, annual filing updates, IDS tracking, and attorney assignments.

Using data analytics skills, create client reports upon request incorporating in tracking spreadsheets, attorney input, accounting and other data.

Manage assigned dockets and collaborate with IP docketing team.

Perform and/or manage day to day client and attorney functions related to the patent or TM practices including preparing and filing applications or office actions responses, IDS, Assignments and Declarations, processing US and Foreign mail, creating Foreign Filing Checklists etc.

Manage and maintain client and firm databases.

Manage the client's billing process by collaborating directly with Accounting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and thorough documentation of all billing activities.

Lead client relationship management with a high level of efficiency and the ability to handle a significant volume of work, ensuring that client needs are met promptly and accurately.

In conjunction with leadership develop and maintain client procedural and training documentation, form letters and templates, checklists, etc.

Partner with team lead to process client transfers, or new client intakes.

Recommend enhancements to existing processes and procedures.

Identify and conduct quality review of client focused work product to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Serve as a training lead when needed for client group and/or other junior practice group members. May serve as department trainer.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/education

Qualifications

5+ years of IP experience

Demonstrated understanding and implementation of multiple aspects of IP processes

Demonstrated understanding and implementation of the firm's vision and values

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe

Ability to independently facilitate and manage projects

Ability to analyze and interpret data

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
