The Business Development Representative is responsible for representing Hygea publicly and promoting its mission to the community. This role involves building and nurturing relationships with potential patients, community partners, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, be flexible, and possess strong communication skills. This position requires a valid driver’s license and regular local travel. Salary Range
$60 - $80k, commensurate with experience. Essential Job Functions
Community Engagement
Represent Hygea at community events, health fairs, and other public forums to spread awareness of the facility’s mission. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other potential referral sources. Speak with and build rapport with potential patients and their families, providing information about services and resources available at Hygea. Promote Hygea’s services through presentations, meetings, and other outreach activities. Relationship Building
Establish and strengthen connections with key community stakeholders to enhance Hygea's visibility and reputation. Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a cohesive approach to community engagement and patient outreach. Maintain an updated database of community contacts and referral sources. Patient Outreach
Engage with individuals in need of behavioral healthcare services, providing guidance and support to help them access the appropriate resources. Act as a liaison between potential patients and Hygea’s clinical team, facilitating introductions and ensuring a smooth transition to care. Flexibility and Adaptability
Be willing to adapt to changing schedules and environments, meeting new people, and creating relationships in various settings. Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to attend community events, which may occur outside of regular business hours. Organizational Skills
Manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently, maintaining organized records of outreach activities and outcomes. Develop and implement strategic plans for community outreach and business development initiatives. Solution-Oriented Approach
Identify challenges and opportunities within the community and develop, creative solutions to enhance Hygea’s outreach efforts. Continuously seek ways to improve engagement strategies and increase the facility’s impact in the community. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in behavioral healthcare development. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally on a regular basis. Passion for helping others and a commitment to Hygea’s mission. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups of people. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing situations.
