About the role

The Customer Service / Order Entry Representative is responsible for accurate and timely order processing while delivering high levels of customer service. This role works closely with internal teams to support order fulfillment, resolve customer issues, and ensure a positive customer experience. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates with prior leadership experience or a desire to grow into a lead role will have opportunities for development as the team continues to evolve.

What you’ll do

Accurately enter and process customer orders in accordance with established cut-off times and procedures

Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, product availability, pricing, delivery schedules, and account informati on

Assist with resolving order discrepancies, shortages, substitutions, and delivery issues, escalating when appropriate

Process order corrections, credits, and adjustments following company guidelines

Communicate clearly with sales, warehouse, transportation, and inventory teams to support accurate fulfillment and on-time delivery

Maintain high standards for order accuracy and customer satisfaction

Follow company policies, procedures, and service standards

Support team goals by managing workload efficiently and meeting daily deadlines

Participate in training and assist with the adoption of new tools, systems, and technologies, including AI-driven solutions

Identify process improvement opportunities and share feedback with leadership

Qualifications

High School Diploma (or equivalent); associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

2–4 years of customer service and/or order entry experience

Experience in distribution or a related industry preferred

Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail with the ability to balance accuracy and efficiency

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Proficiency with order management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
