Large Loss Contents Property Adjuster Responsibilities
You will be traveling to customer\'s home and handling claims virtually. Handle escalated claims files that have complex contents. Conduct a thorough coverage investigation of the loss and ensure the policy was applied correctly. On site inspections and use of advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors to identify damages and write a contents damage estimate. Communicate empathetically with customers and help them through their claim process in a fast, fair and easy manner. Negotiate claim settlements with customers in accordance with business unit standard methodologies. Coordinate with structure adjusters to ensure holistic handling of the claim file. Use data and analytics to tell a story and influence decision making. What you\'ll wear

You lead with empathy, always. The Investigator – independently investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage. The Effective Communicator – use phone, emails and sometimes video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. Offer the customer preferred method of communication to discuss needs and keep them updated on progress. The Negotiator – evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers and claimants, in accordance with legal and business standard methodologies. Use tactics to handle challenging and complex situations. The Problem Solver – utilize multiple tools to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment, including estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms, while applying critical thinking. The Recorder – protect the company financially by executing policies and maintaining clear records in the claims system, ensuring timely and accurate documentation for each claim. Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Have prior experience using estimating software like Xactimate for complex contents estimating. Previous experience handling property insurance claims. Value providing an effortless customer service experience. You enjoy the ability to work independently starting your day from home. View problems and setbacks as opportunities for improvement and develop creative solutions. Are organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The training program is designed to help you build a claims foundation and understand the systems and processes in your day-to-day work. Ongoing training opportunities for continuous improvement happen regularly on the job. Licensing Notice
As a condition of employment, your office/area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If applicable, you will be required to secure license(s) within 60 days of hire. Base compensation offered for this role is $68,000-$115,245 annually and is based on experience and qualifications. *** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
