Job Description
Now hiring an AutoCAD Drafter & Designer in Fort Worth, Texas! The AutoCAD Drafter & Designer is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role where design meets real‑world impact. You’ll create precise AutoCAD drawings for low‑voltage systems—bringing fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and lifesafety designs to life for projects. Working closely with an experienced design team, you’ll review plans, assist with system layouts, support preconstruction and estimating efforts, and use tools like Bluebeam to keep projects moving smoothly. This is a fast‑paced, collaborative position for a self‑starter who enjoys problem‑solving, juggling multiple projects, and growing their career within a supportive, employee‑owned company.
Requirements
Proficiency in AutoCAD required
Experience drafting low‑voltage electrical, fire alarm, or technology systems
Working knowledge of low‑voltage systems (fire alarm, access control, CCTV, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Strong technical aptitude with a “figure‑it‑out” mindset
Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Bluebeam Revu experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Exposure to fire alarm or life‑safety systems is helpful but not required
NICET Certifications (Levels I–IV)
Texas Fire Alarm Technician or Planning Superintendent License
Texas Online Private Security (TOPS) License
BICSI RCDD
AVIXA CTS / CTS‑I / CTS‑D
Hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
