Responsibilities
Facilitate the placement of business that does not qualify within Alfa’s underwriting guidelines or with lines of business that Alfa does not write.
Responsible for underwriting, quoting, binding new and renewal policies, and processing endorsements and cancellations.
Communicate professionally with sales force, customers’ mortgages, attorneys, and other insurance companies, intercompany personnel such as accounting, claims, legal, life and other underwriters, etc., in person, by telephone, e‑mail, and handwritten messages relative to additional information needed.
Contribute to Agency profitability by following standard of risk selection to maintain an acceptable loss ratio with each carrier.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required; college preferred.
Six months’ work experience that required independent decision‑making abilities is required.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, basic mathematical skills, and ability to convey ideas to others and learn quickly.
