Overview
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We seek a skilled marketing or partnerships volunteer to strengthen sponsorship and brand outreach for International Yoga Day Miami, a large-scale community wellness summit. This project focuses on strategy and materials development, not direct outreach or sponsor management.
Responsibilities
Clarify and refine sponsorship value propositions for different types of partners (corporate, healthcare, wellness, community-focused brands).
Develop reusable outreach messaging and positioning that can be adapted for email, introductions, and pitch conversations.
Create a prioritization framework for identifying and approaching mission-aligned brands.
Align sponsorship messaging with our marketing reach, audience demographics, and community impact.
Project Context Namaskar Foundation’s mission is to make holistic, preventive wellness accessible to people of all ages. Strategic sponsorships are essential to reducing financial barriers and expanding access to high-quality community wellness programming. This project will directly support our mission by helping us secure mission-aligned partners whose support enables free or low-cost access to yoga, meditation, education, and mental health–supportive experiences for thousands of community members. Volunteers will see their work translate into broader access, stronger partnerships, and lasting community impact.
Engagement Details
Leadership is aligned on the importance of strategic sponsorship development; a dedicated project lead will work with the Taproot volunteer.
We will provide existing sponsorship decks, prior-year outcomes, audience demographics, and examples of past partnerships.
Clear milestones, timely feedback, and a well-defined scope will support productive collaboration.
Commitment: 2–5 hours per week.
All materials created will be implemented immediately and reused across future outreach efforts.

2026 Focus In 2026, our focus is to deliver free, large-scale community wellness experiences. This June, Namaskar Foundation is bringing back International Yoga Day Miami as a fully free, indoor, two-day event featuring 50+ classes, workshops, and activations to make high-quality wellness accessible to everyone. We invite skilled volunteers from backgrounds in strategy, marketing, operations, partnerships, technology, design, or community outreach to help us scale access to wellness and create meaningful, measurable change. Join us in building a healthier, more connected South Florida.
