The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD) is looking for a full‑time Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/APPSW), GG-2210-13 to work for the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC) under the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at JB San Antonio – Lackland, Texas.

Salary Range: $131,437 – $179,633 based on experience.

Responsibilities In this position you will serve as the Senior Digital Information Technology Specialist (Party Bus Value Stream Deputy), supporting the development of digital service capabilities, including cyber security, cloud, platform operations, software development, and AI, while overseeing acquisition efforts. You will assist the Value Stream Lead by synchronizing efforts across five sub‑teams, six labor contracts, a multitude of software licenses, a complex multi‑tenant cloud platform, and managing product requirements for diverse user groups. Additionally, you will utilize Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to maintain transparent status reporting and communicate priorities to stakeholders. In this role, you will also mentor team members on agile practices and participate in meetings as a technical advisor, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.

This position is designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program and is subject to random drug testing.

Advanced technical knowledge of software and other various digital technology systems (cyber, cloud, platform, data, and/or artificial intelligence).

Knowledge of technology systems analysis and applications software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate new and emerging IT security methods and principles, the feasibility of proposed new systems and applications software projects; and to design, write, test, debug, and maintain information systems and applications software and ensure successful integration with existing and anticipated infrastructure in the database environment.

Knowledge of Department of War (DoW) and Air Force policies and procedures, guidelines, directives and techniques related to software and technology system platforms.

Ability to clearly and effectively discuss and present program objectives, managerial tasks, and technical information verbally and in writing to management and professional personnel at all levels within the DoD and other government agencies within timelines prescribed by regulation or management.

Ability to maintain an up‑to‑date awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements.

Ability to identify requirements for contracting and budget proposals for IT acquisitions.

Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

This position is Acquisition Category IT, Level II and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.

This position requires information assurance (IA) work as an additional duty. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the recipient of this additional duty must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six‑month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in the reassignment of this additional duty to another employee within the organization.

Employee is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
