Architectural Job Captain – Huntington Station, NY We are seeking an Architectural Job Captain for our Huntington Station, NY location to work on a wide range of project types, including but not limited to commercial, education, and healthcare projects. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience and responsibility for all aspects of a project, from concept design through construction administration. Candidates should be able to work in a cooperative environment, be creative, organized, articulate, highly motivated, and have extensive Revit experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with Project Manager to assist and take on technically challenging issues.
Prepare and manage the production of construction documents including drawings, specifications, and technical details throughout all phases of a project.
Produce detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD independently.
Review and analyze building codes and zoning regulations.
Independently and collaboratively adeptly prioritize tasks for concurrent projects and meet project deadlines.
Work with clients, consultants, building management and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
Coordinate and lead site visits and surveys, attend site meetings, address questions and issues as they arise, and prepare meeting minutes accordingly.
Supervise and mentor drafting team to enhance project progress and execution.
Assist in research and coordination of materials; meet with vendors as necessary to understand materials and products.
Manage Revit models and build Revit families.
Core Expectations
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited program.
3-5 years of experience in architectural office.
Experience in commercial architecture.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe suite required.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Driver's License and willingness to travel to project sites.
Actively pursuing Architectural Licensure a plus.
