Position
Director, Nutrition & Wellness (Registered Dietitian) – Jacksonville, FL (online applications accepted only). Schedule: Monday to Friday. Salary: $110,000-$125,000. Application deadline: applications accepted until all openings are filled.
Job Summary Chartwells K12 is seeking a motivated, passionate, and experienced Director of Nutrition and Wellness to join the leadership team at Duval County Public Schools. This role will lead the wellness department, collaborate with operators to strengthen the culture of helping kids stay happy & healthy, and oversee menu development, ensuring compliance with USDA K12 nutrition guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and promote Company food philosophy, sustainability commitments, and nutrition programs.
Develop, implement, and track effectiveness of corporate nutrition and wellness programming considering dietary recommendations, trends, account profiles, and client needs.
Lead team projects related to the growth of nutrition and health.
Educate internal teams on Company protocols related to risk management of food allergies and special diets.
Conduct site visits for quality control of the nutritional program, including on‑site support and training.
Qualifications
Credentialed Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required; licensed by state Dietetics Licensing Board where applicable.
Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of dietitian professional work experience; contract food service, schools, college, and business environments preferred.
Food Service Management experience required; general hospitality knowledge and interest in sustainability.
Strong public speaking skills and ability to deliver audience‑appropriate presentations.
