
Hourly WIC Customer Service Representative (10339)

Job Responsibilities
Reallocates task as necessary
Schedules WIC appointments for clients
Serves clients in the order numbers were taken in a professional manner, courteously greets all individuals seeking services.
Receives, screens, and directs telephone calls to the appropriate staff member, answering calls courteously, noting caller's questions, requests, and needs and routing calls to the correct staff promptly.
Answers clients' questions regarding services offered during business hours, and the intake process.
Checks client’s identification, proof of residence, and proof of income.
Provides clients with the Give Rights/Obligation and completes the 24‑hour diet recall form.
Completes declaration statement and gives voter application if clients request to register to vote.
Lists client’s name, age, and service on the clinic book.
Completes header on the certification form.
Conducts income eligibility interviews and completes income portion of WIC Certification/Assessment form and signatures.
Receives and distributes incoming correspondence.
Furnishes ineligibility notice to clients following established procedures.
Updates clients' information on the Insight System.
Directs clients to maintain clinic flow.
Reviews medical records and adds needed forms, labels, and immunization information.
Lists client’s name on the daily activity report.
Issues vouchers and schedules next appointment for nutritional education.
Instructs clients on use of WIC vouchers and grocery vendor system.
Refers clients to other services offered by health center if needed.
Copies reports for office and mails original to the proper office.
Orders office supplies.
Maintains an orderly work area.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and ability to perform basic office functions and computer related duties. Bilingual preferred (Spanish).
Preferred Qualifications Preference given to applicants with front and back‑office experience in a medical setting, fee collection, cash drawer close‑out and cash drawer reports, and ability to troubleshoot payments. Experience in patient care management systems is also desirable. Bilingual preferred (Spanish).
