Duties Summary Independently performs a variety of work of average scope and complexity in the management of real properties and facilities, and performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Legal Authorization to Work : The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Basic Education : A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Specialized Experience : One and one-half (1–1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in property management, including acquisition or sale of real property, property evaluation, preparation and solicitation of bids, establishment of rental rates, selection of tenants, and the protection and maintenance of property. This experience must include business, commercial, or industrial real property management.
Substitutions Allowed : Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements will apply.
Driver's License : Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
Federal Criminal History Records Check : Applicants considered for positions requiring unescorted access to secured areas at the airport must undergo a pre‑employment fingerprint‑based criminal history record check. To be granted the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted or found “not guilty by reason of insanity” of a disqualifying criminal offense within the past 10 years. Upon recommendation for hire, the applicant will be required to successfully undergo the check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding ten years. The cost for the records check will be the applicant’s responsibility.
