
Community Mental Health Promotion and Support (COMHPS) Team
Part‑time – 16 hours per week
with weekday daytime and evening availability as well as some weekend availability to attend community events.

CEC Health Care was awarded a contract to continue the services previously provided by Project Hope as a Community Mental Health Promotion and Support (COMHPS) team. In conjunction with our established behavioral health clinic and our primary care clinic, this team will provide community engagement, mental health wellness promotion, individual screenings for mental health conditions, brief counseling, and referrals to licensed mental health professionals.

Responsibilities
Community engagement and outreach, including wrap‑around support
Individual and group counseling
Wellness activities
Assessment, referral, and linkage of services
Assist with public education and referrals
Qualifications
Degree in Mental Health, Psychology or other certification; or relevant work experience
NYS Driver’s License and clean driving record
Must have transportation and be able to travel through Nassau and western Suffolk County
Some weekend/evening availability, required
Bilingual Spanish preferred
