Pay Range: $57.98hr - $61.98hr

The Senior Professional Application Designer will support a COBOL mainframe environment and play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing complex application solutions. This role involves delivering technical architecture components, coordinating with architects and developers, and ensuring solutions align with business objectives and client requirements. The position requires deep expertise in mainframe technologies and the ability to lead technical initiatives across the full software development lifecycle. Responsibilities:

Support and maintain a COBOL mainframe environment. Design, document, and coordinate changes to legacy modules. Develop, install, and evaluate application software on the mainframe. Deliver technical architecture solution components. Coordinate between application architects and developers to ensure design requirements are accurate and aligned with business objectives. Collaborate within project teams to define and develop project requirements, deliverables, functional specifications, and detailed application solution designs. nalyze feasibility and compatibility with other programs and projects. Provide quality control for project deliverables. Define, design, develop, test, debug, and implement complex system requirements and application programs. ssess architecture and hardware limitations and design system specifications for hardware and software compatibility. Lead the analysis and resolution of business problems using automated systems. Design, install, and modify operating systems, utility software, and databases to meet business needs. nalyze, design, acquire, and implement LAN or WAN-related projects as required. Design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyze complex software programs integrated with hardware systems. Perform cost analysis of vendor-supplied products and customize purchased applications as needed. Review current practices and emerging technologies to support business requirements and provide recommendations. Provide technical consultation on current and proposed systems to internal teams and clients. Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel. Experience:

Ten or more years of application development and programming experience. Three or more years of programming and on-call support experience in a COBOL, MVS, JCL, and IBM mainframe environment. t least one year of experience exposing CICS and COBOL programs as web services via CICS Transaction Server. Hands-on experience with CICS, TSO, CHANGEMAN, SQL, DB2, Abend-Aid, MainView, and Xpediter CICS. Familiarity with Easytrieve and FileAid. Experience analyzing operational methods and developing computer programs to achieve desired outcomes. Experience working through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. Strong understanding of design, analysis, programming, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation principles. Healthcare IT experience with healthcare claims, payer systems, Medicaid, or Medicare is highly preferred. Qualification And Education:

Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
