The Role - What You'll Do Barr is in search of an enthusiastic events specialist to join our team in a hybrid role that supports company-sponsored internal events aimed at boosting employee engagement and connection across all office locations. You will play a pivotal role in designing, planning, and delivering consistently high-quality experiences for employees during events such as company celebrations, training weeks, and engagement-focused initiatives. Your Impact - Key Responsibilities Internal Events Strategy and Execution:

Lead and support the planning, organizing, and scheduling of major company-sponsored internal events, including holiday and summer parties, ESOP Day, and Founders Day.

Cross-Office Collaboration:

Work with teams beyond Minneapolis to ensure engaging experiences at events across Barr's office locations.

Training Week Engagement:

Team up with business unit leadership to enhance employee engagement during training sessions.

Inclusive Event Practices:

Collaborate with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee to integrate belonging-focused actions into every event.

Event Best-Practice Development:

Create and maintain event guidelines, tools, and templates to streamline processes.

Support for Internal Meetings:

Work to enhance engagement and attendee experiences at key meetings.

Employee Engagement Initiatives:

Partner with staff and executives to identify and develop opportunities for employee engagement.

Internal Storytelling:

Collaborate with Internal Communications to promote events effectively.

Retiree and Alumni Connections:

Establish practices to engage with retirees and alumni.

Manage and distribute service awards for employee anniversaries, and oversee the service award program.

Office Coordination:

Coordinate with facilities on space usage and resources for events, assist office leadership with program planning, and support cross-office integration.

Budget Management:

Oversee and optimize the annual event budget.

About the Opportunity Hybrid:

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending time between a Barr office and a home office. The role is based out of Barr's Minneapolis office.

Travel Expectation:

Occasional travel of up to 10% may be required.

About You - Required Core Competencies Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience:

At least three years' experience in a full-cycle event coordination role.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build effective relationships.

Proven client-service orientation in a professional environment.

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint and OneDrive.

Experience in independently organizing small to large-scale events.

Proven track record of managing event budgets successfully.

Flexibility in working style is essential.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

Helpful Additional Experience (Not Required) 4+ years of experience in an events coordinator role is a plus.

Experience with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs is advantageous.

Experience in developing an events coordination program within an organization.

Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is beneficial.

Compensation:

The anticipated hourly range is $28.00-$32.00, which may vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. This non-exempt position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on performance.
