Job Description This is a full‑time remote position. Must be located in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, D.C.
We are looking for a Solution Specialist to drive growth by building relationships with collision‑repair customers and helping them adopt Mitchell Collision & Repair Diagnostics Solutions, including calibration‑related offerings. In this field‑based role, you'll own a defined territory across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., managing your pipeline from prospecting through close while partnering cross‑functionally to deliver a strong customer experience. Travel is expected 40–50% of the time within the territory (primarily driving). Additional duties include:
Manage and grow a defined territory by developing new business and expanding relationships with existing customers.
Prospect, qualify, and build a sales pipeline; plan daily/weekly activities to meet territory and individual goals.
Conduct customer meetings, product demonstrations, and presentations to communicate value and solve customer needs.
Develop proposals and move opportunities through the sales cycle to close, meeting or exceeding assigned targets.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels within collision‑repair organizations.
Collaborate with internal teams to support implementation, customer success, and ongoing account needs.
Develop and execute a business/territory plan to maximize opportunities to achieve sales targets and key objectives.
Provide regular forecasts for your assigned territory.
Negotiate and close new business.
Present a meaningful ROI to the customer by understanding the customer’s priorities, competitors, industry trends and positioning Mitchell’s solutions and capabilities to them.
Provide consultative services, conduct demonstration test drives and keep customers informed of new releases.
Track the progress and status of your customers on an on‑going basis to ensure customer satisfaction and assure that committed schedules are met.
Represent the business professionally in the field, acting as the primary point of contact for customers in the territory.
Travel 40–50% within the assigned territory to meet with customers and prospects.
Participate in ongoing product and sales training to stay current on offerings and market dynamics.
Provide feedback from the field to help improve processes, messaging, and customer experience.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college a plus.
3–5 years of experience in automotive, collision‑repair, or a related field environment; field sales experience preferred.
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Strong consultative selling, customer relationship management, and territory management skills.
Ability to reframe challenges, identify solutions, and navigate objections with professionalism and confidence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfort working in CRM and other business systems.
Ability to travel locally within the assigned territory approximately 40–50% of the time, primarily driving to customer sites.
Valid driver's license and ability to successfully complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
