Job Summary The Director of Rehabilitation Services will plan, administer, and direct operation of rehabilitation programs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Responsible for the overall success of their assigned program/s. They will report directly to Regional Director of Therapy.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees the daily workflow of the Rehab Department.
As a facility department head, will actively participate within the interdisciplinary team (IDT).
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities
Carries a clinical caseload.
Provide direction and leadership to all therapy staff.
Ensures program compliance through review for accurate billing, documentation, and support to therapy staff.
Responsible for maintaining optimal staffing mix, including recruitment, orientation, development, retention, scheduling, and employee engagement of therapy staff.
Clinical management of therapy department through patient identification, case management, care planning, and clinical utilization.
Collaborate with facility leadership to drive clinical excellence and supportive facility culture.
Ensures rehabilitation staff is providing appropriate care to Residents in keeping with established standards for quality and in accordance with generally established principles of care.
Supervises the scheduling of residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care.
Manages the evaluation and development of in-house therapy programs including equipment assessment and staffing ratios.
Completes required forms and documents timely, in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
Current state licensure as PT/PTA, OT/COTA, or SLP.
Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in allied health field PT/PTA, OT/COTA, or SLP.
Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards.
Prior management experience in Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
Preferred prior Net Health (formerly Rehab Optima) experience.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
